Columbus Short in Talks for Lethal Weapon 5

In August of this year, it was reported that screenwriter Shane Black and producer Joel Silver were working on a fifth installment of the "Lethal Weapon" franchise.

It was said that in the new film, homicidal Riggs (Mel Gibson) is about to retire, but pulls Murtaugh (Danny Glover) out of retirement to solve one final case, before they both officially head off into the sunset.

Today, IGN spoke to actor Columbus Short who revealed that he is in talks to play Murtaugh's son in the film. You can watch him talk about the role using the player below!

4 LW films were more than enough. What's the plot going to be... Riggs & Murtaugh help Chavez out in Venezuela ? Pass.

i dont know about this one, anyone see what danny glover looks like these days? not pretty plus you can hear that he has false teeth, i dont think it would be good

Honestly, while I've enjoyed all these franchise revivals...Live Free or Die Hard, Indy IV, Rambo, Rocky 6, etc. the only one of those films that I felt got it right was Rocky Balboa.

Nonetheless, I'm not going to lie. A Lethal Weapon 5 (with everyone back on board) would be cool to see.

Now a Beverly Hills Cop IV...not so much.

so they keep the same actor as murtaugh's son for the first four films and replace him in the fifth and final film? as a huge fan of the series i'm not sure i like that idea.
