Clooney Boards Reitman's Up in the Air

George Clooney is in talks to star in Up in the Air, an adaptation of the Walter Kirn novel that Jason Reitman adapted and will direct for DreamWorks, says Variety.

Clooney will play an unapologetic corporate downsizer whose untethered life is consumed by collecting air miles.

The project is set up at the Montecito Picture Company, which has its first-look deal with DreamWorks.

Producers are Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock, Joe Medjuck and Jeff Clifford for Montecito and Hard C's Daniel Dubiecki and Jason Reitman. Ted Griffin will also be involved in a producing capacity.

Reitman completed the script weeks ago and just showed it to Clooney.

If you were trying to say what I think you were trying to say, you should know that you spelled it incorrectly.

It'll be nice to see Jason Reitman do something again without the painful writing "skillz" of Diablo Cody...

Ohhhhhhh... JoeTorre didn't like Juno. I'd blast Diablo Cody's 'painful writing skillz' as well. I mean, she only won the Oscar for best Original Screenplay. When did you win your Oscar, or any award, for your more superior, and obvious brilliant writing skillz? Sorry - your probably some Emo Kid, and it's cool to hate anything popular. Go back to Hot Topic and by a shirt that says something about you...

No, I'd have to agree with Joe. The dialogue in Juno was pretty god-awful. Snark harder, Chad.

This article has nothing to do with Diablo Cody, but since it was brought up, I agree, her writing does suck, and you don't have to win an academy award to have an opinion on writing, cough.. (Chad) besides we all know Tony Gilroy should of won that Oscar anyway

Yeah, and Norbit was nominated for an oscar. I did actually really like Juno but some of the dialogue got on my nerves a little.

I find it hilarious that Chad thinks I'm an emo kid, and that's why I don't like Juno. Isn't it emo kids that LOVE Juno? Aren't the rest of us who aren't emo sick of stupid, phony dialogue in a script where EVERY character has to be quirky?

And Diablo Cody only won an Oscar because she's in the midst of giving all of Hollywood a massive lap dance. It seems cool at the time, but when its' over, everyone will feel...disappointed.

But, wait, I'm jealous, right? Yeah that must be it. Thanks, THEE Chad!
