Will Christopher Nolan Do a Third Batman?

While the internet is going crazy with casting rumors that aren't true for Christopher Nolan's possible third Batman movie, the director himself is on vacation as The Dark Knight approaches $500 million domestically.

The Hollywood Reporter has published an interesting article about the film's marketing and the deaths of both Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe before the film's release. The piece ends with a bit on the third installment.

And Warners and Legendary are both interested in doing a third in the series, but all involved say it will be up to Nolan to come to them with a story and a plan.

"There are a lot of us who emotionally would love to do it," Roven says. "But it's really Chris' call. Chris is the kind of filmmaker who just doesn't think about the next movie before he has completely finished the movie he is working on."

For now, Nolan is taking a well-earned vacation.

Says Roven, "When he comes back, we will see how he feels."

With Dark Knight still making millions. Why is everyone so much in a hurry to find out about the 3rd movie. Look at how crappy these movies can turn out when they rush them..
We finally have a great lead for the batman movies. It's worth waiting 4 yrs for a movie when then end result is Dark Knight or batman begins

I'm still hoping he makes "The Prisoner"! That would be a good flick to do in between TDK and the 3rd Batman (if there will be one). I LOVED TDK and love pretty much everything he's ever done, but I've been hoping for SO long that he would actually follow through with making "The Prisoner"!

Bababooie = moronical If you don't care, you dont HAVE to write about it.

Having said that, I can't wait to find out whats going to happen with Nolan, I don't care how long it takes to get the 3rd one out, I just want to see who is going to be in it. Its remarkable how he can use comic book characters and actually make them true to life believable beings, I have never seen anything like that in movies, no other comic book movies come close to Nolan's Batman characters!!!

i love that someone in hollywood finally relized that real batman fans want to see what we all have read in one the greatest dark novels ever written (tales of the dark night written by frank miller )you might know him he also wrote sin city and 300. my point is that fans want to see the real strugle of the dark night no the happy go lucky story of the caped crusader so i hope that nolan will come back and do the third.

I too hope a 3rd movie will happen. I also don't mind waiting a couple of years for the next movie to turn up just as long as the result is just as AMAZING as TDK.
