Woody Harrelson to Fight Zombieland

Woody Harrelson has signed on to star in the horror comedy Zombieland, which Ruben Fleischer is directing for Columbia Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Written by the team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("The Joe Schmo Show"), Zombieland revolves around a mismatched pair of survivors who find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies. Harrelson plays one of the men, a zombie fighter named Albuquerque.

Gavin Polone and his Parish Films are producing.

I'd like to see the characters from kingpin (yes the comedy)and the characters from Mickey Mouse Fight Zombies in a Submarine made of lollipops... just me??

Never ever take a Zomie movie at face value any one of them can suck major balls or turn out to be one of the best things to ever happen to the zombie genre. Besides there'll probably be many more zombie/comedy movies in the future, since being eaten by other people is actually a fairly common fear, along with sharks and Super-AIDS.

Wait, I see it now, JAWS 14: Zombie shark carrying Super-AIDS

I really do think that Zombies have in fact taken over the world... or at least Hollywood. Why else would there be so many zombie flicks coming........as well as remakes, re-imagined versions, based on graphic novel/comic book, based on novels no one has heard of before Movies?

Woody Harrelson in a zombie movie is reason enough for me to hand over my money... but the fact that he's named Albuquerque might actually make this the best film ever.

Is everybody gonna compare evey zombie comedy to "Shaun.." now? I know it was good, but at least give these new ones a chance. Maybe Pegg and Wright should sue everybody who makes a zombie comedy with two guys in it. ****!
