Diesel Still Sees Riddick Sequels Happening

Source:MTV

Although The Chronicles of Riddick only made $115.8 million worldwide in 2004, compared to its $105 million budget, Vin Diesel tells MTV he still thinks the two sequels planned a long time ago will happen at some point:

"David Twowy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the 'Lord of the Rings' guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind," he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film "Pitch Black." "'The Chronicles of Riddick' was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer 'Pitch Black' in the same way that 'Lord of the Rings' answered 'The Hobbit.'"

Twohy's next project is the action-thriller A Perfect Getaway, which is in post-production. Diesel's Babylon A.D. comes out this Friday and Fast & Furious hits theaters next summer.

hell ya! TCoR was a very decent movie. Riddick was a badass and they had some very good actors playing the supporting cast and villians such as Julie Andrews and Karl Urban. I hope he makes them

Didn't dislike or love Chronicles but thought it was a well rounded popcorn movie. If they decide to do two more its going to have to be more along the lines of realism. When all the old bond movies had the wow thats really fake but cool anyways feel to it we didn't seem to mind, but when Casino Royal came out it took bond seriously and made him more realistic and made his ability to do what he does fit into the world he was in. The eyes can stay the same but make what he does and where he does it and the story around him apply to the real world. Granted there are not in Earth but Saber tooth tigers come on.

As I said once before already - IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!
Riddick is one of my favorite characters and I think, that four years of speaking about more movies is enough time. Let's see some work already...
