Vin Diesel Directing Fast and Furious Prequel

Vin Diesel, who stars in next Friday's Babylon A.D., told ComingSoon.net today that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to Fast and Furious, the fourth installment in the Universal Pictures franchise.

Diesel will star in the prequel along with Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Letty and Sung Kang returning as Han. Diesel didn't say how the prequel would premiere; it could be on a DVD, online, TV, etc.

The fourth movie is a sequel to the first installment, and though Diesel didn't elaborate, we assume this 20-minute prequel will tie-in some of the events from the second and third movies. Rodriguez appeared in the first movie, Sung Kang in the third, and Diesel in the first with a brief cameo in the third.

In the Justin Lin-directed Fast and Furious, opening June 5, 2009, fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him.

This movie was ment to be fun for all us automobile/streetbike freaks. It's not ment to have Oscar worthy acting. It's a "Feel Good Summer Movie" And I cant believe the loosers on here who thought Tokyo Drift was "Awesome" It sucked! I liked 1& 2 was okay, and from the looks of it I am sure I'll like 4. I do find it funny however that now they have to resort to stealing gas as oppose to the first one where gas was like 1.99 a gallon. Shows how times have changed.

the 2nd movie was a downgrade from the 1st, but tokyo drift did not dissapoint, initially i thought that movie would blow, having none of the original cast. Turns out i liked tokyo drift the best. Cant count how many times i've watched TD. I wish they would make a sequel with all the movies known cast members

How come people come on here bashing movies before they even come out and besides, if you think a movie is going to suck why do you read about it anyway? All you people that like those crappy "Capote" Oscar winning movies, shouldn't be on here reading about Fast and Furious. Stick to what you know... those other movies.

**** you all who said these people suck. ur just stupid. vin does make great movies not all but some and paul isnt an ed norten wanna be hes just paul. so back off. i like the fact that they finaly brought back the main charaters instead of leading us into two way off movies that wernt totally bad but should have followed the original story of the first movie. thats all. no haters.

Wow... i know everyone has their own opinions... but c'mon why is it that everyone takes these kind of movie so serious!? its a movie just for fun u know what actors are going to be in it and what type of movie its going to be. so why put too much thought or expectations to it. its just like a rollercoaster ride u wait too long for it and its not what u expected... just go with it for fun... to see great rides nice girls and a quick shot of entertainment. in all really its not that serious three movies offer their different aspects of the genre. if you dont like it or the actors why boder watching it and then complain about it later.

i think that the first 3 fast and the furious film was exellent and the 4th looks even better from what i have seen from the trailers on the internet.and i see vin diesel is making a prequel as well but just a short film,but what i say is that just keep on making full length films of the fast and furious because i never get bored of watching them nor does anybody else.so just keep on releasing them.

The fast and the furious movies are meant just to show off cool and "sexy" cars. Just think of it as an Need for speed game, somewhat crappy storyline but great cars.
