Vin Diesel Directing Fast and Furious Prequel

Vin Diesel, who stars in next Friday's Babylon A.D., told ComingSoon.net today that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to Fast and Furious, the fourth installment in the Universal Pictures franchise.

Diesel will star in the prequel along with Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Letty and Sung Kang returning as Han. Diesel didn't say how the prequel would premiere; it could be on a DVD, online, TV, etc.

The fourth movie is a sequel to the first installment, and though Diesel didn't elaborate, we assume this 20-minute prequel will tie-in some of the events from the second and third movies. Rodriguez appeared in the first movie, Sung Kang in the third, and Diesel in the first with a brief cameo in the third.

In the Justin Lin-directed Fast and Furious, opening June 5, 2009, fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him.

personally, i think vin is a talented man, but he's just made some terrible choices and he hasn't stopped the studios from using him for cheap, crappy flicks. but he has potential we'll probably never get to see. for example, he carried himself very well in Saving Private Ryan. unfortunately, studios just see a big muscular poster boy and he may never dig himself out of that hole

oh and tokyo drift had potential to be half-way decent until Lucas Black's ugly mug appeared. i would pray for Paul Walker or Keanu Reeves anyday if it keeps that talentless redneck dumb*** off the screen

i am looking forward to this movie because it is going to be with the cast of the first movie. this should have been done in the first place, but what can you do? 2 Fast 2 Furious was dumb, and at some point i will see the 3rd to get caught up.

i still think the title for this movie is retarded. Put a number or subtitle next to it.

If these movies are "just for the car nuts" then have them mailed directly to your houses on DVD and save the rest of us the pain of having to choose from them at the multiplexes...

This sound good but why 20 minute prequel? And I still dont understand why people hate on Vin Diesel? All his movies were good and Babylon AD is going to be awesome.Vin Diesel is a rich man that he can get anything he wants and can get more girls than all you f*ggit virgins that cant get none.I guess thats the reason why you people hate on him.
