Vin Diesel Directing Fast and Furious Prequel

Vin Diesel, who stars in next Friday's Babylon A.D., told ComingSoon.net today that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to Fast and Furious, the fourth installment in the Universal Pictures franchise.

Diesel will star in the prequel along with Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Letty and Sung Kang returning as Han. Diesel didn't say how the prequel would premiere; it could be on a DVD, online, TV, etc.

The fourth movie is a sequel to the first installment, and though Diesel didn't elaborate, we assume this 20-minute prequel will tie-in some of the events from the second and third movies. Rodriguez appeared in the first movie, Sung Kang in the third, and Diesel in the first with a brief cameo in the third.

In the Justin Lin-directed Fast and Furious, opening June 5, 2009, fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him.

in all truth these movies come out to entertain everyone...from people who like the franchise to the haters of the franchise. vin diesel need more action movies...with better stories of course. as for paul walker he is an example of what keanu reeves is without a great agent... cuz i for one cant stand reeves. but trust me when i say this nothing...and i mean NOTHING is as worse as an uwe boll flick

Amen artofwar, amen. You people want to talk about hacks? Uwe Boll is the worst of them. Hands down.

People need to stop acting like every movie needs to be Oscar worthy. I liked one, thought 2 was just ok (was pissed Vin wasn't in it), and I haven't seen three. Anyway, I like Vin Desiel and wish he did more action movies.

I'm really sick of hearing all these wild descriptions of the plot for the next movie, ie "reigniting their feud". There is no fued...watch the end of the first movie, they leave as friends with respect. Any time they ever got together again they would feel the same way.

Shoudn't it be against the law for Vin Diesel to direct?

Of course I'm only kidding. Sort of.

Technically, Brand-O, most sequels don't have numbers in their title. Examples: Rambo, Rock Balboa, Pirates Of The Caribbean, just to name a few. Oh, yeah, I forgot "Live Free or Die Hard" or "Die Hard 4.0" in international territories.
