ComingSoon.net has received an exclusive TV spot for Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys, coming to theaters on September 12. The Lionsgate release stars Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Tyler Perry, Cole Hauser, Sanaa Lathan, Rockmond Dunbar, Taraji P. Henson, Kadee Strickland and Sebastian Siegel.

Bates and Woodard star as the matriarchs of two very different families being torn apart by greed and scandal. The sixth feature film by Tyler Perry chronicles the inner workings of two families—one upper-crust and the other working class—that become inextricably linked by scandal.

Oh Tyler Perry... Why can't you just stop? Though, I must admit with that creepy music and the epic throwing of that board in the construction zone, this film seems soooo much darker than I was expecting.

I COMPLETELY disagree with you Club. Bottomline is that this man's movies do help people through entertainment. In this day and age when people do all they can to ignore God by using their anger towards religion as an excuse, he's showing that in the end, it doesn't matter the religion, just have Faith in The Lord and let His Will be done in your life. Christ didn't come down to start a religion, Christ came to save us and teach us. And Tyler Perry's movies definately help with that. He has people that have their own faults, yet they overcome them to better themselves. You keep going Tyler!

I love Tyler Perry's movies. He is so profound and emotional and connects to an audience, despite the race, in a very personal way. This film looks like his best work yet and I can't wait to see what else he has instore for audiences in the coming future.

Club, I hear you loud and clear...I amd by no means a bible thumper nor I attend church, but I get the message TP is putting out and this day in age when 99.9% of the movies released, none of them of a real positive message that you can take it to the heart. With TP movies I get the message and for some reason I feel better about myself....So I hope Tyler Perry continues to do what he does.

Tyler Perry is whats wrong with society today, people like him tear cultures apart, stop portraying whites as the evil in this world, and other directors should stop portraying blacks as the evil. In some situations, yes it does work out that way, but in Tyler Perrys movies its more evident and obvious because he is so blatant with his use of it.

As usual, I side with the big guy, Jesus H. Christ. Tyler Perry has been pushing his mediocre, stereotype-filled garbage for too long. You want to know what's REALLY up? Don't watch House of Payne. Watch the Boondocks.

I think that if you watch the movie you'll find that the 'white' family's portrayal will be more nuanced than you realize. This does not look like an 'evil whitie' movie
