Smith Wins Appeal for Porno's R Rating

Director Kevin Smith has won an appeal to lower the adults-only NC-17 rating for his comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno, to an R rating.

Motion Picture Association of America spokeswoman Elizabeth Kaltman said Tuesday the rating was revised after the group's appeals board viewed the movie.

The NC-17 rating would have prohibited anyone younger than 17 from seeing the movie. With an R rating, those under 17 can see it in the company of an adult.

In the October 31st release, Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are two lifelong friends who are deep in debt and enlist the help of their friends to make a porno movie for some quick cash. But as everybody starts "doing" everybody, Zack and Miri realize that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought. Craig Robinson, Traci Lords, Katie Morgan, Ricky Mabe, Jeff Anderson and Jason Mewes co-star.

wait until the dvd come out, but this is great. Loook some foootages in this year comic con. It look fantastic, seth rogen, and elizabeth banks(love her in scrubs), are great duo

This movie looks as good as 3 day old horse turd with flies. Probably have to smoke a lot of blunts to appreciate a movie like this, but I think that's the audience he's looking to attract. Hence his Clerk movies... Part 2 was God awful!

Umm reynolds, did you not read the article? It says that he won an APPEAL, meaning he challenged the boards decision to give it an NC-17 and won, not that he edited it and resubmitted. The NC-17 version and the R-rated version are the same.

I agree with therealjames...why does everybody hate smith so much? does he personally offend people in some way? I don't like Little Mama, but I don't go commenting on every thing I hear about her on every website.
