Exclusive: The New Hamlet 2 Trailer

Focus Features has provided ComingSoon.net with the exclusive first look at the new trailer for Hamlet 2, opening in limited theaters on August 22nd before going wide on August 29th.

Hamlet 2 is an irreverent comedy centering on one teacher's overzealous quest to mount a high school musical. The film is directed by Andrew Fleming from an original screenplay he wrote with Pam Brady (South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut, Team America: World Police). The film stars Steve Coogan, Catherine Keener, David Arquette, Amy Poehler and Elisabeth Shue as herself.

I saw this at San Diego Comic Con, it's hilarious, definitely check this movie out!

The mood of the movie is definitely a sort of classic "underdog teacher motivates unwilling students to greatness," but you can definitely tell there wasn't a producer standing behind the director going "Hey, make this PG or I'll cut your balls off." Good stuff.

Everytime this stupid trailer comes on in theaters i want to get up and leave. This movie doesnt look funny at all and quite frankly all the trailer draws from the crowds ive seen is mild chuckles at best. lame
