Bryan Singer Adapting Freedom Formula

Bryan Singer's Bad Hat Harry Productions has teamed with Radical Pictures to develop a live-action feature from "Freedom Formula," a five-issue comic book series created by Edmund Shern, reports Variety.

Radical Publishing is introducing the comic book at Comic-Con, and it will be released in August.

It's described as a futuristic Top Gun in which racing exo-suits have replaced fighter jets. The story focuses on a genetically engineered racer who learns that his bloodline has the power to change society.

Singer will produce with Radical's Barry Levine. Jesse Berger, Edmund Shern, Alex Garcia and Michael Zoumas will be executive producers.

"This is a timeless story about young people struggling to break free of authority. That's what ultimately appealed to me," Singer said.

Hopefully this means he won't make another Superman movie and screw it up....Kevin Spacey was the only thing good in that movie..

Yeah Anthony, it does seem a bit like an Iron Man rip-off. However, given Brian Singer's track record (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, X-Men 2) I'll wait until the movie before I pass judgment.

Bryan Singer has lost it. Used to love the guy but then he crapped out a terrible version of Superman, and now this? Sounds terrible only b/c I can see how a story like this that could be awesome in the hands of another director, will be totally distorted by what he has become.

Good luck Bryan Singer. At least we have your earlier catalog to enjoy.

It's like this guy(Singer) knows he messed up superman real bad that's why he acquiring all these projects in order to postpone the sequel...because all eyes r on him for the sequel...I think he is kinnda scared.
