Bryan Singer Producing Capeshooters

Variety says that Warner Bros. has acquired Capeshooters, a comic book adaptation that will be produced by Bryan Singer's WB-based Bad Hat Harry production company. The project is based on Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld's upcoming comic.

Singer (X-Men, X2: X-Men United, Superman Returns) is interested in exploring the darker side of the subject. He will only be producer on the project. BHH's Alex Garcia will executive produce.

In Capeshooters, two slackers become paparazzi who specialize in shooting covert videos of superheroes find themselves on the run after they stumble onto evidence that a revered superhero is actually a villain.

J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani will write the script.

Wow this does sound interesting. Plus it could be a positive sign for a Singer directed Superman sequel if Warner Bros. looks to continues it's relationship with him.

Hopefully NEVER!!! Because Singer's revival of Superman was so BORING!! I hope W/B gives Millar a chance and ditches Singer.

id have to agree with crazybat; Supe Returns was a blight on the otherwise pretty solid canon of superman. it was too emotional.... pretty much along the same lines as the first two X-men films. it seems he is in LOVE with the character (read: he wants to have sex in mid-flight a la My Super Ex-Girlfriend) and cant seem to understand what a real superhero movie should be.... i saw put him in a run chained to the chair and make him watch TDK until he understands.

i thought the X men series was good and although superman returns wasn't all that great, it was still watchable and want to see another one in the series.
