George Lucas to Turn Star Wars Saga into 3D

ComingSoon.net caught up with DreamWorks Animations CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg on Tuesday and learned that George Lucas is looking to repurpose the six "Star Wars" episodes into 3D format.

Katzenberg told us that Lucas is very excited about it and that he's got the technical resources to pull it off. "He isn't going to put a product out, I think, that isn't anything other than first rate," Katzenberg said.

How is this guy even percieved as a director let alone a creator anymore, he keeps doing the same thing over and over and over.... why not do the rest of the star wars instead of redoing the same ones over. This guy blows chunks.

Maybe lucas should spend some money and give us a movie of Vader and what he does from the end of episode three to the start of episode 4. There's about 20 years there of Vader dominating. I would like to see that before 1-6 in 3D

Quality aside, I bet this'll be where we get the first really powerful tools for turning all our old entertainment into 3D format.

You people really need to stop pretending you wouldn't milk it either if you created it. And stop acting like he's some damn money craving, franchise milker....do any of you realize how much TRUE Star Wars fans like myself would LOVE to FINALLY see these films in 3-D??? BRING IT ON!!! (drools at the thought of trench run in 3D)

do we need more star wars i mean come onnn this guy is a greedy f**k head he probably see's all these superhero movies doing well in box-office and the ppl that forgeting about star wars and doesn't what no one to forget about star wars lmao end the s*** all rready 6 movies plus a cartoon in theaters soon is enough on my opinion hope no star wars fans get mad thanks god bless
