Walt Disney Pictures has provided ComingSoon.net with the first photo from Race to Witch Mountain, coming to theaters on March 13, 2009. Directed by Andy Fickman, the action-adventure stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Garry Marshall, Alexander Ludwig, AnnaSophia Robb, Kim Richards, Ike Eisenmann, Tom Everett Scott, Chris Marquette, Billy Brown and Cheech Marin.

The film is a modern re-imagining of the classic 1975 adventure movie Escape to Witch Mountain. In Race to Witch Mountain, Johnson plays a Las Vegas cab driver who picks up a pair of siblings with magical powers.

This is a more serious interpretation than I was ever expecting. I do hope it works out in the end.

Does not look anywhere close to as good as The Dark Knight.

Wait, this seriously looks like a 2001: A Space Odyssey still.

This might be good. I agree with Benj, it does kinda look like 2001: A Space Odyssey. I think it's cool that they're going to have Kim Richards star in it, considering she stared in the original movie.

"I think it's cool that they're going to have Kim Richards star in it, considering she stared in the original movie."

What about Ike Eisenmann? He's in the movie, too, and he played Kim Richards' brother in the original.

Plus, he's Scotty's nephew!
