In addition to the teaser trailer which you can now watch here at Apple, Warner Bros. Pictures has updated the official website for the Zack Snyder-directed Watchmen movie as well!

At the site, you can read the synopsis, get new downloads such as wallpapers and icons, view the photo gallery and read the production diary. Oh, and there's a countdown clock and cool Flash animations!!

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly is going all-out with coverage on the movie this week. You can read their exclusive feature that includes more photos here (view the magazine's cover here) and an interview with Snyder is up here.

Also, we received the following "Watchmen Mason Auto Repair T-Shirt" that NECA will be handing out at the San Diego Comic-Con next week. Mason Auto Repair is owned and operated by the original Nite Owl, Hollis Mason.

Watchmen, opening in theaters on March 6, 2009, stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Stephen McHattie and Matt Frewer.

Zack Snyder can't tell a story to save his life. He also can't adapt things for the screen either. "Dawn" was terrible and while "300" looked pretty, he mangled a wonderful story.

Why they got a guy that can only direct large crowds of people running for a complex, intelligent story is beyond me.

Enjoy 2008 while you can, 2009 is the year of crappy comic movies...Minus "Wolverine"...

You can get the trailer on itunes. I downloaded it for my ipod. It looks very weird. But, cool. I'll have to read the comic.

You know I enjoyed 300 it was a B movie, but the differance is that Watchmen is such more character driven and has such a great story, which 300 basically had none of but it was fun because of Snyder's visual ideas. So I am not too concerned about Watchmen after reading this article and the trailer, now I am really excited.

I loved 300. I saw it four times. It was different, and at the same time had a mythical quality about it. The visuals to that will never look dated. They are timeless.

If someone is interested on the Smashing Pumpkins tune playing in the Trailer. It's called "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" Track 15 from the Soundtrack of the dreadful "Batman & Robin" Movie... It's amazing how well the lyrics fit to the Watchmen-Story and atmosphere...

Man, I hate to sound like a broken record, but this movie is doing nothing for me so far. Look at it from the point of view of the common moviegoer who knows nothing about Watchmen...and then show them that Entertainment Weekly cover. I guarantee you 9 out of 10 people will tell you it looks retarded. This movie will be groundbreaking, visually stunning, well made...and a complete BOMB at the box office. Sorry, Watchmen fans...enjoy the first one cuz you're not gettin' any sequels.

Um, Spinner, if you knew anything about the graphic novel then you'd know that there IS NO SEQUEL.
Did Donnie Darko even do close to well at the box office? Nope. Still a masterpiece. You are very childish if you think that a movie is only as good as how much money it makes.
