Disney and Rudin Developing Synchronicity

July 10, 2008

Disney and Scott Rudin are developing Synchronicity, a comedy that pokes fun at the world of synchronized swimming, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The project will center on male synchronized swimmers and follow in the steps -- or strokes -- of sports comedies from the likes of Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller.

Marty Scott and Toni Kotite will write the screenplay. The duo are working on a draft of the script.

Learn to type and spell, yo. Snoodle was right and it even says so in the "article" above- It's a ripoff of Blades of Glory. I'm not sure why anyone would want to watch either movie

"The name reminds me of Kevins band Scantoniscity from The Office."

And what does the name of Kevin's band Scrantonicity remind you of?

In a related note, I wonder what rock song might be used as the theme song and/or end credits song of this movie?

Any guesses?

making fun of sports that athletes care about more than anything is completely disrespectful and unnecessary. movies can be funny without tageting a less appreciated sport. male synchronized swimmers and all synchronized swimmers are powerful and strong athletes that deserve better respect for the amount of work they put in. they practice for many hours a day and many days a week, unselfishly giving intense amounts of physically draining work for the benefit of the entire team. it's disgusting that people would make fun of that.
