The Trailers with The Dark Knight?

With The Dark Knight hitting theaters on July 18, many are wondering which trailers they can expect to be released with such a highly-anticipated movie. ComingSoon.net has now confirmed which trailers Warner Bros. Pictures will be debuting.

There's been much speculation that we'll be seeing the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but it looks like Harry Potter fans will have to wait a bit longer for the first footage. Our guess is it will be shown with the studio's Star Wars: The Clone Wars on August 15, but that's not confirmed.

Instead, what you can expect are the first trailers for Warner Bros.' Terminator Salvation (May 22, 2009), which of course also stars Christian Bale, Zack Snyder's graphic novel adaptation Watchmen (Mar. 6, 2009), and the Ridley Scott-directed thriller Body of Lies (Oct. 10), with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

I'm not trying to be close minded, It was just one of those things that never appealed to me. The only reason I watched 30 minutes of the first movie is because I was at someones house and it was on, then we ended up leaving to do something. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have been exposed to anything but trailers, lol.

Sorry, but I just don't see myself getting caught up in the Harry Potter mania. Don't worry though, I'm not mean enough to get on a HP thread and make fun of people having never seen a movie or read a book on it.

As far as Watchmen goes, it could surprise. Yeah, it might be rated R but that doesn't mean it couldn't have legs at the box office to make a huge enough gross. The thing is though that there aren't enough R rated films anymore. Everyone is punking out for censorship and reaching the younger audience. Screw the younger audience! I didn't grow up to be handed a bunch of movies with childish ratings! lol. I think if Watchmen is as good as rumored, then it will do quite well...

Woah "Harry ferkin' potter?" who the hell sneezed in your cornflakes this morning? Lighten up a little bit and stop being a whiney little ***** dude...

Anyway, I think Warner is being really stupid here with not showing the HP trailer, I mean The Dark Knight is a movie alot of people are gonna see, its gonna be the summer's top blockbuster and Not showing the trailer is not gonna get people to know about the movie that well unless theyre a fan...completely stupid on thier behalf...

That sucks! I really wanted to see the Harry Potter trailer with it cause I'm going to see it at midnight. Thats so stupid.

WhySoSerious?

That is a problem. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter or follower of it and I totally forgot this movie was even coming out this year until I read this article today. I guess at this point they're banking on the people who are infatuated with HP to make the movie successful.

trailer checker, it sounds like that might be a teaser trailer for HBP designed specifically for the IMAX. Any chance you could ask your source when the real trailer is coming out in regular threates?
