Handpicked Films and Tayrona Entertainment have signed Shane West, Cam Gigandet, Val Kilmer, Arielle Kebbel and Eric Balfour for Silver Cord.

According to Variety, the film will be directed by James Ordonez, who is also the co-writer along with Ken Gord.

The story centers on Ordonez's brother who came back to life after being declared clinically dead on multiple occasions. The brother died in 2004.

The indie feature's aiming at a September start and has obtained a SAG waiver.

I agree with soot. Batman Forever was at least half of a good movie thanks to Kilmer's Batman.

I agree with soot, Val did rock as the Bat in Batman Forever. He's the only one I found to be believable other than Bale. On a side note, I think Nolan shouldn't try to reinvent the Penguin in the next one cuz, Batman Returns did that character perfectly.

WHAT?!? Penguin in Batman Returns is nothing like his comic counterpart. It was simply Tim Burton whining "I'm all alone. Nobody loves me"... again.
