Universal Pictures has revealed the new trailer for director Paul W.S. Anderson's Death Race, starring
Jason Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, Natalie Martinez and Jason Clarke. The action-thriller, loosely based on 1975's Death Race 2000, opens in theaters on August 22.

A serviceable remake, I suppose...but it looks like it lacks the surreal kookiness of the original.

Wow!!! This movie looks awesome!!! It's like Twisted Metal meets Fast and Furious!!! I really like Paul W.S. Anderson's other films like Mortal Kombat, Alien vs. Predator and the Resident Evil trilogy!!! And I liked Jason Statham in Transporter!!! And I can not wait till this movie comes out!!! Looks sweet!!!
