More Angels & Demons Set Photos

BadTaste.it sent in this report about the filming for Angels & Demons that is taking place at the Pantheon in Rome:

We've some fabulous pics from the Pantheon set of Angels and Demons, where today Ron Howard is shooting a few scenes of the movie. The scene I've seen shows Robert Langdon and Vittoria Vetra, played by Tom Hanks and Ayelet Zurer, approaching the Pantheon. I was surprised, because they dind't seem to hurry too much (if you've read the book, you know they are not tourists there), but maybe it was just an impression and thanks to editing the scene will appear more fast-paced.

Anyway, I have to say I was also positively surprised by the athmosphere on the set, which was very easygoing and relaxed. As you can see from the images, the fans were allowed to stay very near the actors and Tom Hanks was a treat. In fact, at the end of every take, he was hugging security guards or playing with fans.

Columbia Pictures' follow-up to The Da Vinci Code, directed by Ron Howard, is targeted for a May 15, 2009 release.

if this is supposed to be a prequel to the Da Vinci Code, why does Tom Hanks have more gray hair then he does in the first one? don't movie makers notice this stuff... geez!

i do hope this one is better than the last one.

Grayer or not, at least Tom Hanks doesn't have the goofy hairstyle he had in the first movie. It could be a sequel, though the book takes place prior to the Da Vinci Code. But it doesn't really matter as each are independent stories.

I also noticed the gray hair. The first one was good but not great. I hope this one is better. The story for the new one sounds very interesting.

The movie is being treated as a sequel not a prequel, so more gray hair

The book was very enjoyable and I am sure this movie will be well worth seeing. I agree with the other comments...what a relief the dorky haircut hasn't made a return.

Which haircut was worst - Tom Hanks in Da Vinci or Nicholas Cage in Next?

This should be a better movie, the book lends itself better to a movie format, where as The Da Vinci COde should have been something seen as a miniseries on a network if filmed at all.
