Looks like they are going to do a pretty good job with this one. I, unlike most, do appreciate when classics get remade. There is just so much more that can be done in cinematography these days. And the fact that it's not just thrown together like Jason X was should call for a very entertaining movie. Lets just see if the Halloween sequel can hold on as well!

Didn't care for Rob Zombies Halloween. I hope this movie is as good as the old classics.

Fred Krueger is one of the better horror villains.
Let's hope they don't ruin it.

One, two, Freddie's coming for you, three four, better lock your door, five six, grab your crucifix, seven eight gonna stay up late, nine ten, never sleep again...

Um, you've got the wrong movie TINDMAN. Freddy is Nightmare on Elm Street, this is Pemela Voorhees, mother of iconic Jason Voohees, the killer with the machete and the hockey mask.

Wait... what's the f-n difference between any of the lame Friday the 13th movies anyway? Aren't they all the same movie? Remake, prequel, sequel, Jason's got a sack on his head, he's got a hockey mask, he's in NYC, he's in space. The story is all the same each time. That's the joke. Who cares about a stupid remake. Might as well call it: Part XI: the pre-sequel-re-imagining.

Well if you know anything about anything a remake is the same as original redone. a prequel is storyline prior to original and sequel is after. so obviously there's a difference. and it's more about the direction of the film as opposed to the idea of it. any A$$ can make a movie or a remake or whatever. it's the vision created in front of the lens that can either be entertaining or total crap.

Zombie's Halloween was dumb( seriously aside from the whole white trash background was there any scene he didn't hack from the original?). 2003's Texas Chainsaw Massacre was actually not bad and I enjoyed it. Though I am not thrilled that they are remaking a classic (The first FT13 was the only one that can be considered that), I am curious to see if Nispel can come up with a coll vision of the story.

Well the angle of incorporating the first three into one movie has some potential. and like the director says in the interview, the younger viewers don't really know about jason. so reinventing him to really hook another generation into fans like my generation is (26) is a good idea.

Danielle Panabaker is hot...but too bad I can't appreciate her because I'm so damn queer.

Here is an idea: Maybe if people would stop wasting their money to see these movies Hollywood would stop making them. Instead, most of these remakes debut at the top of the box office and basically gives the greenlight for more remakes. If I watch this Friday remake it will be on dvd, not the theater. No way am I spending $10 on a movie that doesn't need to be made and a remake of a classic that will probably fall WAY short of the original.
