Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon will star in an untitled Cameron Crowe romantic comedy adventure at Columbia Pictures, reports Variety.

Scott Rudin is producing the film, which was written by Crowe, who is also producing.

The studio is keeping the logline of the contemporary-set project under wraps.

The movi will begin filming in January when Stiller and Witherspoon's schedules open.

I was wondering when Cameron Crowe was going to do another movie. It's been almost three years since Elizabethtown. I wasn't too impressed with Elizabethtown, so I hope this one is better. I did like Vanilla Sky though.

I misread and thought they were starring in a CROW film. I was like "what the hell?!" :P

Elizabethtown was really under-rated. If you've ever lost a parent, especially a father and then watched the film again, then you know Crowe created something special. He captured the numbness and "strangeness" of the experience, not just the grief. Give the flick another shot.

i actually liked elizabethtown at first viewing, but giving it a further look i was about as impressed as the critics. it wasn't horrible, but it definately wasn't almost famous.

ben stiller and reese witherspoon on this movie don't ease my fears that this will be better.

I'm still waiting for a proper follow-up to the brilliant "Almost Famous". Somehow, I'm willing to bet I'm still going to be waiting after this one...

I'm not sold on Reese as a genuine talent at anything really. Her and Keira Knightly should have a chin joust.
