Molina and Kingsley Join Prince of Persia

Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley will join Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton in Disney's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the Mike Newell-directed adaptation of the Ubisoft video game. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing.

Variety says Molina will play Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince. No word yet on who Kingsley plays.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in July in the U.K. and Morocco.

OH MY GOD!!! A videogame movie that.....won't suck?? THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!! The movie has A list actors, a great director and great writers who one of the writers is the creator of the game. WOW! I'm a huge fan of the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy, and this seems to be one of the best videogame adapatation ever! I hope Kingsley is the Vizer too.

Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley are bothe great choices, but the fact that they hired Jake Gyllenhaal to be the prince will make this film suck and I for one will not be seeing it. They should hired the real persian prince dude.

I have my fingers crossed for this movie as i'm a big Gemma Arterton fan. But it's great seeing two stars of the original 1995 movie Species reunited for this film.
