Russell and Hart to Wake the Dead

ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned that Jay Russell (Ladder 49, The Water Horse) will direct Wake the Dead, an adaptation of Steve Niles' ("30 Days of Night") modern-day Frankenstein graphic novel. James V. Hart (Sahara, Bram Stoker's Dracula) will write the script.

In the IDW series, Niles introduces his readers to a young man named Victor who works to reverse death, even if it means using spare parts from some of his friends.

"Wake the Dead" was a great Justice League episode! One of my favorite episodes for sure.

I have this series of comics and it was a well done tale. Then again so is most of Steve Niles work. I met Steve at the NYcomic con about 2 years ago and he really loves feedback from his fans and is an all around nice guy. Hope the movie does well. You should check out some of his other work like 30 days of night, Hyde, and Criminal Macrabe.
