Winstead Joins Scott Pilgrim Adaptation

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard, Final Destination 3) is in negotiations to star opposite Michael Cera in Universal's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Edgar Wright is directing the adventure romance.

Winstead will play the dream woman of a young slacker (Cera). But the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends.

The project is based on the Oni Press graphic novel "Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life," written by Bryan Lee O'Malley. Michael Bacall and Wright wrote the screenplay.

Marc Platt and Eric Gitter are producing along with Wright and Nira Park, who produce via Big Talk Productions.

Awesome...I think she is so damned hot. Edgar Wright is one of my current favorite directors, though I'm a bit disappointed he's not working with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Should still be a funny movie.

ohh yeah she was damn hot in Die Hard 4.0 would definitely like to see more of her. though really she seems to out of Michael Cera's league. would the chemistry between them work or look believable at all?
