Lionsgate has revealed the plot for Saw V, coming to theaters on October 24.

The studio says that in the fifth installment, Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

The full cast also includes Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Julie Benz, Greg Bryk, Laura Gordon and Meagan Good. David Hackl is directing the horror-thriller from a script by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.

Mixed feelings about this... on the one hand the story line is getting increasingly more desperate to keep things going... but lets face it, we don't watch these movies for the story line...

But then... who cares WHO Jigsaw is... let's just see some more awesome traps !

Stop making these movies already! Why do people see them anyway? I lost interest after the second movie.

third and LAME LAME LAME. They might as well have Uwe Boll take over this franchise, thats the only way I think it could get worse.

Don't like it, don't watch it. Simple as that. Bunch of whiners. I still enjoy them.

These movies are great. I just saw part IV the other day for the first time, and totally dug it - I love how they bring back characters that perished in the first 2 in order to give the series continuity (a move the big studio franchises never seem to get right). I've never been first in line to see these flicks when they come out, but they are definitely worth watching.

I agree with Skott if you don't like the movies then don't see him, some ppl actually like the Saw franchise. I for one will be seeing this opening day and as long as they keep making em I'll keep seeing em.

4 was actually the 2nd best IMO, but I don't see where they can go from there. I might see this one, but will be keeping expectations low.
