USA Today has published this new photo of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars villain, a double lightsaber-weilding pale, bald babe named Asajj Ventress. She appeared in 2-D form in previous cartoons, but gets 3-D digital animation in the upcoming film, opening August 15.

The movie sets up a future animated TV series for the Cartoon Network and a first trailer debuts Thursday at 7:58 p.m. in all time zones on that and other Turner Networks: TBS, TNT, CNN and Boomerang.

Anakin presumed he killed her three times. One time on Yavin IV, once on Coruscant and finally on Boz Pity... He did always get close and she's certainly no match for him, but she's not to be underestimated.

Her duel with Anakin was one of the highlights of Clone Wars, I'm sure if they get a rematch (and they probably will) it will be kick a$$. Haven't been this excited about a film in a long time. Should be good.

Poor Howard Stern looks so dated in the Bowling Beauties promo. He should fire Ralph for putting him in that tired leather jacket.

Asajj faced Anakin and Obi-Wan at Boz Pity in the Star Wars: Republic comic book. Obi-Wan was adamate that she was not evil, but just misled. She was thought to have died there, and was loaded onto a republic ship to return to coruscant. She was actually alive however, and commandeered the ship to head far away from the war.
