MTV talked to Hugh Jackman about his May 1, 2009 opener X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

"We are dealing with a character who is probably one of the darker comic book characters ever created," Jackman said. "The movie has a lot of fun elements, but there are layers of pain and darkness to this character."

"Tonally, I would put it more in the 'Batman Begins' sort of realm," he added. "That's sort of where we're headed."

And would he like to play Wolverine in more films? Find out his answer here.

Pretty soon BatmanBegins-esque will be a new word in the dictionary because of how often Batman Begins is used to describe how a movie is being done.

Batmanbegins-esque (adj) describing a movie, usually an origin story, that has the similar tone, or is in the same realm, as the movie Batman Begins. Tonally the movie being described is usually dark, gritty, or set in a more realistic environment than its predecessors.

But anyways, hopefully Wolverine is good and I can't wait to see The Dark Knight.

Wolverine is made by Fox who literally **** up anything they touch. That one wouldn't be any different. Jackman was very confident about *** Men 3 and we all know how that turned out. "

True, very very true.

I still hate the title, they need to scrap the X-Men Origins for it. The Wolverine name alone has enough value.

I love how actors compare their superhero movies and the characters they play to batman begins, Nolan, and Bale.

"Oh, btw, my movie will be SO AWESOME because, well, its kinda like batman begins."

This just reinforces how the new Batman franchise kicks so much ass!

I liked all three of the x-men movies, but I am still upset that the only hint of Gambit was his real name, Remy LeBeau, on a computer screen. GIve us something with Gambit, he was always my favorite.

I cannot wait for Wolverine to come out of the cinema. And Hugh Jackman with those blades.
