Update: New Mummy Teaser Poster Unwrapped

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor director Rob Cohen has updated his official Blog for the movie with a hi-res version of the new teaser poster along with the following update:

The day has arrived that I can start showing you some of the film's advertising. Here for the first time in America is the teaser poster for our film. I hope you enjoy the image and that it stimulates your imagination of all the wonderful film moments that lie behind it. Plus, on Wednesday at midnight I will relaunch the design of this site with new photos, set designs and conceptual art drawings for your enjoyment.

As of now I have completed a little over 300 of 964 visual effects shots (I feel like I'm drowning) and it is all coming really well.

Starting May 27th I go to London to record Randy's score with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road, including traditional Chinese instruments, traditional Tibetan instruments, a choir, Buddhist monk chanters, and koto drum percussion. I will soon get back to you as to a debut date of the trailer.

Coming to theaters on August 1, 2008, the film stars Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello, John Hannah, Michelle Yeoh, Anthony Wong, Luke Ford and Isabella Leong.

Maria Bello will do a much better job playing the female lead than the previous actress who's name I have already forgotten, honestly, I can't remember her name.

Brendan Fraser's part was the only part that could not be replaced therefore, I am glad he is back

Maria Bello was cool in the Mr and Mrs Smith TV show and sexy in Coyote Ugly playing the mature yet very sexy and hot club owner.

Maria Bello has a great sex scene in A history of violence with Viggo Mortensen.
But Yes this poster is Crap!

Isn't any self-respecting SF fan sick of these CGI disintegrating faces/bodies? I know it's just an effect, but indicative of large-scale crap we've come to know and expect as entertainment. How about a big-screen assemblage of video game cut-screens? Don't even bother with a plot!

Hahahaha I love it how nowadays it only takes less than a second for someone to say "oh it look sucks" "oh i think its gonna sucks" "oh i think im smart and i can predict the future and oh, i think its gonna suck", as if its almost sounds like a freakin formality to say the word "suck", i rather hear "first!" to be honest, what happened to "im gonna see it first and then we'll see", i guess nowadays stereotyping sequels(especially the third or the fourth movie) as a "suck" becoming almost like a cool trend of contagious ignorance disease.
