ComingSoon.net just got off the phone with filmmaker Vadim Perelman, best known for his Oscar-nominated debut House of Sand and Fog and whose second film The Life Before Her Eyes opens next Friday. He updated us on the progress of his highly-anticipated adaptation of Ayn Rand's literary classic Atlas Shrugged, which he was attached to direct back in September before his new movie debuted at the Toronto Film Festival. We need someone who will "stop the world from turning" to show us what great people that we can be.

This too is one of my favorite books, and I can't see them getting this right, the only way would be to do a mini-series like Band of Brothers. Too much ground to cover in a 2 hour movie, and I agree, they'd have more luck adapting Bioshock.
