First Eagle Eye Pic!

DreamWorks/Paramount has released this first photo of Shia LaBeouf and Michellle Monaghan in director D.J. Caruso's upcoming thriller, Eagle Eye, opening in theaters on September 26. Caruso and LaBeouf previously worked together on Disturbia.

LaBeouf plays a young slacker whose overachieving twin brother has died mysteriously. When the young man returns home, both he and a single mother find they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a cell that has plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to extricate themselves.

this looks as if Shia is going to try and do more adult fare as he tries to get away from the teen typecasting trap he runs the risk of falling into. And yes i am aware that he was in Disturbia.

More than a week ago. I saw photos of this movie back in January. Also, he has a cigarette in one of them, which doesn't look like a great look, especially for him, as well as his recent drug arrest. We'll see, but good to see him in another action flick!

How is Shia getting these good roles? I like him, but this is just a case of Speilberg being in the tank for him. When I saw that Dreamworks was behind the film Speilberg came to mind. Michellle Monaghan isn't supposed to be his mother is she?

I will be so happy when LeSuck's fifteen minutes are up. I don't understand what he has done to land so many prominent roles. The fact that he is in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has completely dampened my enthusiasm for that film.

No Monaghan isn't playing Shia's mom. She's just a single mom who is on the run with Shia's character. Michelle and Shia are probably like 10 years apart anyway. lol

I dont undersdtand all the Shia bashing, I personally think he is a great upcoming actor. And of course Speilberg is behind Shia, he made it clear when he said " Shia will be my next Tom Hanks". And the movie that proved that Shia could carry a whole movie by himself was Disturbia. That movie exceeded the movie studios expectations. Give him a break guys, at least he takes his profession seriously unlike 75% of the young actors in Hollywood today. If he stays on the right track and doesnt fall into the dark abyss that is also known as Hollyweird...he will be getting these prominent roles for years to come.
