Robosapien: Rebooted Starts Filming

Bobby Coleman will play a boy who befriends a robot on the run from malevolent corporate interests in Robosapien: Rebooted, which has begun filming in New Orleans, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The cast also includes Penelope Ann Miller, David Eigenberg, Holliston Coleman, Joaquim de Almeida and Kim Coates.

Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing the movie, based on Wow Wee's Robosapien remote-controlled robot, under their respective Arad Prods. and Crystal Sky Pictures.

Senn McNamara (Bratz) is directing the script by Arad and Max Botkin.

Now, I've got a Robosapien... It's an interesting little toy but how the hell are they really going to make a film based on it? What does lightning strike it and suddenly the robot is alive? Because that's completely original for a movie about a robot on the run.
