Brody and Simmons Join Jennifer's Body

Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of Jennifer's Body, Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman's follow-up collaboration to Juno, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Karyn Kusama is directing Fox Atomic's dark comedy/horror film starring Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox.

Cody's script centers on Jennifer (Fox), a cheerleader possessed by a demon who starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her bookish best friend (Seyfried) must take drastic measures to protect the town.

Brody will play Nikolai, a hot lead singer of an up-and-coming rock band with a penchant for evil. Simmons will play Mr. Wroblewski, a high school science teacher.

Brody worked with Reitman in Thank You for Smoking. The actor is attached to play the Flash in Warner Bros.' Justice League Mortal.

Simmons appeared in Thank You for Smoking and Juno.

ughh, i cant stand adam brody. my sister & i watch the OC sometimes & his character is so frickin irritating. he wasnt that much better in thank you for smoking either.

I wish Reitman would write his movies again. I despised Juno, but Thank You for Smoking was genius. He's better off alone.

i kind of agree w/ p@. i didnt despise juno at all. juno is one of my new favorite movies, but I don't get the whole "you do one movie w/ one actor/director/screenplay writer, you do a million more w/ them" thing. I love Johnny Depp & I love Tim Burton, but I wish they would do different things for once. That's one of the reasons why Im stoked to see "Public Enemies." I also loved "Thank You For Smoking" (minus Adam Brody), & now Jason Reitman, Diablo Cody & J.K. Simmons, who all 3 teamed for Juno, plus adding in Adam Brody, who also teamed w/ Simmons & Reitman in "Smoking," are contributing to this film. I really wanna see it, but it kind of irks me when actors stick w/ the same director or whatever.
