I really don't mind remakes, but this doesn't seem much like something that needs an update. It's one of those pioneering classics. Like The Exorcist.

Jesus, Joseph, and Mary! Is Michael Bay out to remake every damn horror movie made before 1985? Why doesn't he do the not as well-known horror flicks like IT'S ALIVE or FADE TO BLACK? Stop remaking classics!

I am convinced we will soon be seeing Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes remake of JAWS.

Platinum Dunes is already 0-4 with their remakes (The Hitcher, Amityville, and the pair Texas Chainsaw movie). Plus they have remakes of Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and The Birds upcoming, all of which are bound to pale in comparison to the originals. They are producing one original script, that I know of, by David Goyer who only has, one, arguably, good movie to his credit.

Horror already has a hard enough time gaining any validity as a genre without Platinum Dunes screwing around with it more.

I totally agree with "HIM". First it was Texas Chainsaw Masscare than planning a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street with Robert Englund not protraying Freddy. Maybe in instead of a remake, how about a prequel of Elm Street? What's next for Platinum Dunes? Remakes of "Deadly Friend", "Dr Giggles" or "The Shinning"

Well there was that Shining miniseries with Stephen Weber that more closely followed the book.

I call for the others studios to immediately begin production of remakes of all Michael Bay movies until the rat bastard stops with this ****.

See how he likes it.

Better yet, let's just remake Michael Bay. I think there's enough people out there fed up with this ****.

REMAKE BAD MOVIES BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME - WHY REMAKE SOMETHING THAT WASN'T BROKE? STAY AWAY FROM CLASSICS!

Everyone, calm down. Movies are a business. Not your personal satisfaction tool. If you don't like the idea of remakes, don't go see the movie. Or, come up with an idea that's guaranteed to make money like these remakes are.

Do you get it yet? Or, do you just like complaining on message boards? Hmm...
