Toy Story 3 Plot Revealed

The Wall Street Journal led of a new article talking about movies and video games with the following:

In Pixar's coming movie "Toy Story 3," Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.

It's the first we've heard those plot details for the Disney/Pixar sequel, opening June 18, 2010. The film, to be released in 3D, will again feature the voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.

Well, Michael Arndt of "Little Miss Sunshine" is working on the script, not to mention that this is PIXAR we're talking about... no matter how bad the synopsis sounds, the movie is going to be great.

I really miss the old plot, where Buzz Lightyear is recalled back to Taiwan and they have to rescue him.

yeah Vkor, that was a preety neat plot. who cares about the plot, i just want to see hanks and allen back as woody and buzz lightyear! i grew up with toy story. the second was good, and with each pixar film coming out i kept saying "just bring me a toy story 3!" the screenwriter sounds perfect for this, and i can't wait!

I liked the rumour idea more. That idea was gold!
Buzz is sent back to the factory in Taiwan because there was a serious malfunction with the Buzz Lightyear toys. The other toys would have to rescue him.

Well we should all appreciate the rewrite the "rumored" script was a real script that Pixar scrapped once they returned to the project. They want to make this in the same tone they made the first two and even though it is a family/kid movie they thought the original toy story 3 script was aimed too much toward the little kids and would be a less enjoyable family film. Im willing to wager the toys make it back to Andy and finally reveal there true nature to him. Too predictable its a understandable ending to the trilogy. And this will more than likely be the final toy story (unfortunately) since Pixar was skeptical of making the 3rd film.

i think that there should be some new toys and steve carrell should voice one. he is so funny!
