Exclusive The Ruins One-Sheet!

ShockTillYouDrop.com has posted an exclusive poster for Paramount/DreamWorks' The Ruins, opening in theaters on April 4. Directed by Carter Smith, the horror-thriller stars Jonathan Tucker, Laura Ramsey, Jena Malone and Shawn Ashmore. The official website has also fully launched and now includes the new Red Band trailer!

Based on the Scott Smith novel, The Ruins, centers on a group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they accompany a fellow tourist on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.

The book was not very good. Coming from Scott Smith who did such a wonderful job on "A Simple Plan", the book was pretty terrible. And the movie looks terrible as well. Ah well.

Like the music in the trailer though. Although the actors in the film are well cast. As equally vapid and annoying as the characters in the book.

Are you talking about the teaser? That's the one that's been playing on the official website for a good month now. The red band trailer should be up in the next few hours.

seen ealier scene of this movie, and don't convince, me, cause that enough of the story of the haunted house, hospital, or pyramid, so on , so on. maker something with a mummy, that have to fight zombie, and of course tourist. Now that something i m willing to put my 10dllrs, to the box office.

why is it so hard for people on this site to comment using that crazy concept of sentences?
are people seriously commenting so fast that they don't notice that half of the 'words' in their post are not words at all? it's pretty f'n annoying...
as for the trailer, looks pretty cool to me. i'll have to read the book first though.

Read the book and found it very compelling, but I dont know how its going to translate into a film. Half the fun of the book was that you werent quite sure what was killing them off right away, when its obvious what it is in the trailer

Don't let the naysayers fool you. Scott Smith is an extremely talented man and for such a cheesy concept pulls it off - the book is actually pretty damn good. Hopefully the movie will do it justice.
