It won't be Heath's last work. He hadn't done much filming on it when he died, so all his scenes are going to be reshot. Johnny Depp is being considered to replace him. But make no mistake, The Dark Knight will be Heath's last movie.

Gilliam has repeated time and time again that he's keeping the scenes with ledger. The Johnny Depp thing is just a rumor because we havent heard anything from both camps( Depp's and Gilliam's) confirming this. So make no mistake..Dr. Parnassus is Heath's last film.

I hope this is good. IMO... Gilliam is hit or miss. I dug Brazil, Fear and Loathing, 12 monkeys... not so much Tideland, Time Bandits. Also there is so much tragedy and uncertainty surrounding this thing that i wonder if it will be a hard sell.

all of heaths work is staying in the film, his character will turn into Johnny Depp on the other side of the magic caravan. THIS IS HEATHS GREATEST PERFORMANCE.
