Stan Helsing to Take on Hollywood Monsters

Multihyphenate Bo Zenga will spoof six of the highest-grossing monster movies of all time in his new project Stan Helsing, reports Variety. The project is set up at Scott Steindorf's Stone Village Pictures.

A producer on Scary Movie, Zenga will write and direct, with filming scheduled to begin in April. The action takes place on Halloween night, when a videostore clerk, Stan Helsing, must reluctantly save a town from the six most-feared monsters in cinematic history.

"'Stan Helsing' spoofs the six biggest movie monster franchises of all time, which collectively have grossed over $1 billion worldwide. We expect to take a healthy bite of that number," Zenga said.

If I hear about another spoof movie being made I'm going to go crazy.

Sry Sam but your going to go crazy because hollywood is an original and there seems to be a group of people who love this type of movies. Look at Meet the Spartans number 1 it's first week.

I agree with Sam. Though I am a little intrigued by SUPERHERO MOVIE, I thrive on originality and for one am getting tired of spoofs and remakes. Its like we have to borrow ideas these days.

That time was long ago when spoof movies were quite funny, and were released every 10 years or so, now its like their every second film, its getting to a point where movies cant get made before fun is poked at it.

I mean i'm a big fan of family guy ok, and they poke fun at everything and do it well, but these idiots keep thinking they can do the same, well i'm afriad you cant. do something else please.

The problem is most treat this like all spoof movies come from the same people. Do a little research. If there were spoof movies you liked, look for the writers, directors and producers that made those movies and see what they're coming out with. More importsntly, look at the ones you hate and stay away from those projects.

I don't mind the spoof movies too much, although they are getting a little old. What i really hate are those crappy will ferrell sports movies, those really need to die.
