Twohy Still Interested in Riddick Sequel?

Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick director David Twohy has updated the "News" section of his official website with some potentially good news for Riddick and Vin Diesel fans:

Okay, okay, now on to the really important stuff like "What the f**k is happening with RIDDICK?" Yes, I get your emails demanding another movie; yes, I keep bumping into you guys in airports and at conventions and I take your pleas to heart. All I can say now is "We're talking about it." The DVD numbers were really good – we know that, and some potential financiers know that. But if another movie surfaces, it probably won't be a Universal movie and probably will be an independent movie. Which means we'll have to make it for substantially less than the last installment. But that's okay. PITCH BLACK was $22 million all in. Maybe it's time to go back to our roots – as we go on to The UnderVerse.

Stay tuned for more on this as it comes in.

Yes... more Riddick please! You left us hanging at the end of the Chronicles of Riddick, we need more! Plus what girl doesn't want to watch Vin Diesel in one of his best roles ( at least I think it's his best role, not that the Pacifier and Triple X weren't great ). Plus we all need to know more about this UnderVerse!

Thats a good thing actually because Pitch Black was by far a way better movie than Chronicles of Riddick. Pitch Black had more of a raw and authentic feel to it. I was a little disappointed with chronicles of Riddick because it didn't have the same feel, it felt almost as though the Riddick universe was changed... it gave the universe more of a superstitious element. The Riddick video game and the anime were also great in the sense that they had the same feel as Pitch black did... so going back to your roots is definitely the way to go!

There will never be another Riddick movie, Vin obviously doesn't give a crap anymore and has moved onto other projects. Even if he can get this together they won't get the money they had for the last one, so it will be sub-par.

Riddick is done and cooked. Vin has failed us all!
