The Story for Christophe Gans' Onimusha

Last week, we told you that filming for Christophe (Silent Hill) Gans' adaptation of video game Onimusha is expected to start in April of 2008. Now, we've got the synopsis for the fantasy action-adventure based on the Capcom game which includes spoilers:

In feudal Japan, 1582, the warlord Nobunaga is ambushed by ninjas, led by the brave samurai Samanosuke. Trapped, Nobunaga commits seppuku, but two sinister sorcerers reanimate Nobunaga's corpse with a half-human insect larvae. The resurrected Nobunaga orders the capture of two very special women to fulfill his evil plans.

When Britta, the daughter of a Dutch merchant, is abducted on board a ship by seemingly invincible warriors, her tutor and confidant Jacob pursues her captors, vowing to rescue her at all costs. Meanwhile, the beautiful Princess Yuki is also kidnapped, this time by ninjas that reveal themselves, incredibly, to be part spider. In search of Yuki, Samanosuke joins forces with Jacob to vanquish their common foe. In the Cave of Elders, he receives a magical sword that will slay all within its reach—friend or foe—and learns of a sinister ceremony at Inabayama Castle intended to blot out the sun.

Performing a dangerous, stealthy invasion of the castle, Samanosuke and Jacob find the women they love dressed as Moon Princess and Daughter of the Sun, ready to be wed to and ravished by Nobunaga. Aided by their allies, the two warriors attack the insectoid hordes, but Samanosuke falls in battle, seemingly dead. In a mystical encounter, he is given the option to survive and fight—but it comes at a terrible cost...

ONIMUSHA PLOT IS FALSE.

This plot for the upcoming Onimusha movie is all rubbish and it's not true,so Mr Christophe Gans and the screenwriters should rewrite the plot again and it needs to feature the characters with Kaede to assassinate Samanosuke.
All this spider ninjas,Jacob,Britta and Nobunaga marrying two girls should be all scrapped out.
The film plot and the storyline will be based on Onimusha Warlords game so Capcom will work on the storyboards with Genma demons and stuff.
There will be more news on Onimusha story change over in upcoming months.

i don,t think it will work this wawy. it,s going to be sucks. the 2 and 3 were better now they sould stop making more onimusa games.plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

this is a horrible storyline. the writers and producers need to get it back the game mode. silent hill made a great impact because it was close to the game. same screen shots even in some parts. that made it great. im glad its being made but it needs to be made well. get the swords, the magic, the effects and everything!! blow peoples minds with this movie. it had excellent potential.

I think silent hill one of the most strange movie i like it very much ....realy we need to see other part.....i hope it gonna be like the fourth game of silent hill it chill me up.......

WTF?! This whole plot is a lot of bull-jive! Every Onimusha story-line is great the way it is, even Onimusha 2 (that one has excellent potential). Why do they always screw with the stories?! Why F**K with things if they're not broken?!!!!

KAZUNORI ITO SHOULD REWRITE ONIMUSHA SCRIPT.

If Christophe Gans gets Onimusha movie back on track he should get Kazunori Ito to rewite the Onimusha movie script with Keiji Inafune to do the storyline from the Onimusha Warlords game.
