Brandon Routh is Dylan Dog

Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) will play the lead role in Dead of Night, which is based on SAF Comics' best-selling horror comic book series "Dylan Dog," created by Tiziano Sclavi and first published in Italy by Sergio Bonelli Editore.

The movie will be directed by David R. Ellis, who started his career as a stuntman and in recent years has directed such movies as Final Destination 2, Cellular and Snakes on a Plane. The screenplay was written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly.

The "Dylan Dog" movie, which is being produced by Arclight Films in Los Angeles, has a budget of $35 million. Principal photography is planned to start soon on locations in Connecticut.

Dylan Dog's graphic representation was inspired by English actor Rupert Everett. Dylan Dog is a penniless nightmare investigator who defies the whole preceding horror tradition with a vein of surrealism and an anti-bourgeois rhetoric. The true monsters in many of these stories are human beings.

Dylan Dog is my favorite and only comic.
I'm looking forward to watch this movie.
And please find a great actor for Groucho Marks :).

I'm italian and I grew up reading DyD.. its because of it if I studied as a comic book artist and I really hope that's going to be a good movie!!

I'm also a great fan of the Dylan Dog comic, and the choice of Routh to play Dylan comes as a great disappointment. This should not be another cheesy teenage movie. I'm sure there's million actors out there who are more suitable for the part. I truly hope the makers of the movie know what they're doing...

I think that americans will spoil good story with super special effects and brandon routh as main character. Also movie is set in New York and we wont see Groucho (and that might bee good because in American translation he's name is Felix and have no moustache). I am from Serbia and for 20 years this is one of the most popular comics here (Zagor, Mr No, Mark and Black too)

posto vidim da su vecina ljudi odavde iz srbije bolje je na srpskom da pishem,pa ko ume da prochita neka prochita. Della morte del amor ima 10x boljeg glumca,Brandon Routh uopste ne lichi na Dilana,premestili radnju filma u NY eeeeeej ljudi,neverovatno kako amerikanci mogu da uniste strip time sto ga tako ekranizuju.Jedva chekam film i narvno da cu ga pogledati,ali ne ocekujem mnogo,samo jos jedan tipichno americhki horor film sa dobrim efektima.POZDRAV ZA VESELI CHETVRTAK :)))

Brandon Routh is Dylan Dog !!! Terrible.

So, instead of Rupert Evret (who was inspiration for Dyla's character) we got Superman, it is happening in USA instead of England, there is no sidekick Groucho Marx...

So..this movie is not going to have anything in comon with Dylan Dog comic book .

Rupert Everett is more compatible for this role ,,i dont knowe why they picked Brandon routh for this ,,just please dont spoil that piece of art
