Kevin Dillon Leads the 301
"Entourage" star Kevin Dillon has been set to play the title character in National Lampoon's 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas.
Lampoon is financing the film and producing with Dan Farah and Jason Burinescu. Burinescu wrote the script, and a director will be named shortly.
The movie spoofs the sword-and-sandal epics 300, Troy, Gladiator and Braveheart, and Dillon plays the bumbling Spartan general who fails upward in his quest for greatness.
Filming will begin by year's end.
