Dan Aykroyd visited radio station CISN Country and revealed that a Ghostbusters III is in the works.

Aykroyd said that the film will be CGI and Bill Murray has agreed to do the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman. No word on whether Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson or any other of the original actors will return to voice their characters.

Well, i've always been a fan of ghostbusters and i hope this story is true. I'd love to see a 3rd one and it can always be pretty interesting as a CGI Just like they did with TMNT

NNNooOO! If they are going to make it CGI then either A)Make it a new beginning with new and unrealted characters (not #3) or B) Don't do it at all.

A CGI would not flow with the first two, it just wouldn't allow for the same feel, and it would be too heavy on special effects opposed to character development and humor.

Live action is the only choice for III!

OMG!!!! Is Dan taking the f***ing p*ss???? Who the hell made this decision? I grew up with Ghostbusters and have enjoyed revisiting the films over the years. This just seems like a really lazy choice for all involved- so what if all the guys are a bit older? I want to see that chemistry that made the other films so memorable- there is no way they can do that with CGI characters. Not happy- I refuse to see this film and I will boycott the hell out of it when it's released! Who's with me???

and to agree with belligerent112. This was my favorite movie during my childhood and i still watch these movies and get the same great feeling. CGI will completely ruin whatever magic these films had running through them. It is about seeing murray, akroyd, ramis , and hudson interact on screen. Bill murray even said he disliked the second one because of its reliance on SPX.

Isn't this article 2 years old? And didn't this project just turn into a video game in the end?
