Katie Holmes, Deadline reports, is set to join Daniel Bruhl, Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds in The Weinstein Company's The Woman in Gold (previously The Golden Lady), the upcoming biopic of Maria Altmann.
Scripted by Alexi Kay Campbell, The Woman in Gold details Altmann's (Mirren) real-life quest to recover from the Austrian government five pieces of Gustav Klimt artwork stolen from her family during World War II. Reynolds plays Altmann's lawyer with Bruhl targeting the role of an attorney on the opposite side of the case. Holmes' role has not yet been disclosed.
