Quicksilver Shows Off in New X-Men: Days of Future Past Image
April 10, 2014
Twentieth Century Fox (via EW) has debuted a new image from the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, this one featuring Evan Peters' Quicksilver doing what he does best, running.
"The way we conceived him is a sort of an ADD kid,” screenwriter Simon Kinberg told the magazine. “Everything he does is just popping and zipping around. He doesn’t take anything seriously. He’s not in a situation for more than a few seconds. So it infused the movie with an energy that was really useful for us.”
One things fans will be keen to point out is Quicksilver will share some screen time with Michael Fassbender's Magneto, his father in the source material, which might be addressed in the film.
“Quicksilver is Magneto’s son in the comics and there may be an allusion to it in the movie," Kinberg told EW. "But it’s not something we fully explore yet.”
Starring Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, Boo Boo Stewart and many more, X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to deliver the ultimate X-Men ensemble as our heroes fight a war for the survival of the species across two time periods. The beloved characters from the original "X-Men" film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
