Screenwriter Etan Cohen is planning to take the director's chair on the upcoming Warner Bros. comedy Get Hard, Variety reports. Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart are already set to star.
The film, which arrives from screenwriters Jay Martel and Ian Robert ("Key & Peele"), follows a rich bank manager (Ferrell) who is wrongfully convicted and sentenced to time in a maximum security prison. To prepare himself for his incarceration, Ferrell's character hires the man who washes his car (Hart) to toughen him up in his final 30 days of freedom.
Cohen, whose screenwriting work includes Tropic Thunder, Men in Black III and Idiocracy, is also attached to helm the Ferrell-led Daddy's Home at Paramount Pictures.
