Marvel is still on the hunt for their Scarlet Witch for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron and Bleeding Cool is reporting that Elizabeth Olsen has become the frontrunner. Previously, actress Saoirse Ronan was rumored for the role, but she has reportedly passed on it.
Casting is still coming together for the film, with Kick-Ass 2's Aaron Taylor-Johnson still thought to be playing Scarlet Witch's brother, Quicksilver. That remains unconfirmed, though Taylor-Johnson has previously spoken at length about the character, leading many to believe he will sign on.
Elizabeth Olsen can be seen next in Spike Lee's Oldboy this November and then Gareth Edwards' Godzilla reboot (also starring Taylor-Johnson) in May 2014. What do you think of Olsen in the role?
Featuring favorites from the first "Avengers" film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to begin production next February and will open in theaters on May 1, 2015.
