Comment From Jessica
Just doing a test write in real quick...
ComingSoon.net: Sorry, you failed.
Comment From Rob
Do you think they will show a trailer for Spider-Man?
EDouglasCS: No, doubtful... they just finished filming. Probably just some unfinished footage with storyboards, etc. similar to Spider-Man 3.
ComingSoon.net: Lots of people in here. Invite your friends! :)

Will Peter Weller make an appearance in the new Robocop movie?
Spencer Perry-SHH: I certainly hope so!

Spencer Perry-SHH: Jamie will be there, no doubt
Comment From Evan
pay no attention to this comment
Spencer Perry-SHH: Too late!
ComingSoon.net: A lot of this panel is about Jamie Foxx's Electro, so he should be there.
Spencer Perry-SHH: Specifically his new line of underwear
Spencer Perry-SHH: only kidding
ComingSoon.net: It's electrifying!
ComingSoon.net: 666 users in here. Uh oh.

Spencer Perry-SHH: No cameras in Hall H, but we'll be live blogging it all for you guys!
Comment From JoeSteiner
When do you guys think we'll get the new Spider-Man trailer?
ComingSoon.net: We're not sure if there's any completely finished footage.
Comment From Larry
I want to hear ED-209 voice! I hope there's a trailer released soon
Spencer Perry-SHH: You have ten seconds to comply!
Comment From Krashman101
So, what are they showing right now, exactly? Just Robocop stuff?
ComingSoon.net: Nothing yet, it hasn't started.
ComingSoon.net: Everyone who is asking if your comments are going through. Yes, they are, but there's hundreds of them coming in :)
Spencer Perry-SHH: Reading them as best as we can too
Comment From Connor
Are you guys predicting any huge surprises from the panel? Like how Disney did the TR2N thing a few years back?
ComingSoon.net: Maybe. It's Sony, they're pretty cool :)
Silas Lesnick: Hi everybody! Sony is just beginning!
Comment From Krashman101
Spencer Perry-SHH: Say hello to Silas everyone, ask him about his tattoo if you ever meet him
CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2
Silas Lesnick: They're starting with Cloudy 2 and a faux hidden camera video of the cast dressing for Comic-Con.
Silas Lesnick: In the video, all the actors are trying to cosplay as their Cloudy characters.
Silas Lesnick: Although Kristen Schaal is just dressed as Dr. Zaius.
Spencer Perry-SHH: Oh lord, that made me laugh
Silas Lesnick: Anna Faris, Terry Crews and Bill Hader have taken the stage...
Silas Lesnick: ...alongwith the directing pair of Cody Cameron and Chris Pearn
Silas Lesnick: Both Cody and Chris worked as storyboard artists on the original
Silas Lesnick: Some minor mic troubles with Bill Hader's, but all is working now.
Silas Lesnick: Faris is talking about how surprisingly different voicework is from live action.
Silas Lesnick: Crews is taking over from Mr. T., who Crews is now praising.
Silas Lesnick: He says he thinks of taking over the character as being just like when different actors play Batman.
Silas Lesnick: "He's the manliest man who was ever animated," says Crews.
Silas Lesnick: The new movie begins 60 seconds after the last movie ends.
ComingSoon.net: Getting a lot of questions where the live stream is. This is a live blog, not the same thing. We aren't allowed to video Hall H, but will be describing things for you as the panel goes along.
Comment From Sam
Thank you for doing this!
Silas Lesnick: Will Forte and Kristen Schaal are new characters and part of a new corporation called Live Corp.
ComingSoon.net: You bet.
Silas Lesnick: Forte is a Richard Branson type who runs a science company and hires Lockwood. Schaal his his assistant, an orangutan.
Silas Lesnick: They're showing a clip of Live Corp. The base of operations is inside a giant lightbulb.
Silas Lesnick: Lockwood comes in on a bus and is greeted by Schaal's Barb, an organutan with a human brain inside her ape brain.
Silas Lesnick: "Like a turducken!" she says,
ComingSoon.net: What we think the order of the panel is, is first Cloudy, then Mortal Instruments, RoboCop and finally Spidey. Stay tuned for the latter ones.
Silas Lesnick: Another clip has Lockwood gathering his group together.
Silas Lesnick: He goes to Sam to get her to come but doesn't want to wake his dad, worried that he'll tag along.
Silas Lesnick: Sam refuses to let him go alone. Earl, meanwhile, is dressed in a pink apron and working at a cupcake shop.
Silas Lesnick: "I'm not a barista!" he shouts when someone asks for coffee, "I'm a polista!"
Silas Lesnick: He rips off the apron to reveal his cop uniform.
Silas Lesnick: Lastly, they grab Andy Samberg's character, who is dressed as a chicken in the park.
Silas Lesnick: Faris is talking about how amazing it is to see the animation after months of working on it.
Silas Lesnick: "You realize that you're just a tiny, tiny part of the process," she says.
Silas Lesnick: Crews is saying that, as cute as some are, some of the foodimals are terrifying.
Silas Lesnick: He says some of them remind him of John Carpenter's The Thing or a David Cronenberg movie.
Silas Lesnick: When they were hired, both directors went to the supermarket and bought food to make physical models they could take photos of for reference.
Silas Lesnick: They're showing off some footage of the foodimals in action now.
Silas Lesnick: It's one huge, sweeping shot of the foodimal jungle.
Silas Lesnick: That sounds like it's it for Cloudy 2. Mortal Instruments should be next in just a moment.
ComingSoon.net: Hmm, Andrew Garfield has been spotted - http://instagram.com/p/b9XSFfJCvO/
Spencer Perry-SHH: That's not him, that's the stay puft marshmallow man
Silas Lesnick: Signing off for just a moment to conserve battery as it looks like a lot of new people are entering Hall H. Be back in just a few minutes!
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONE
Spencer Perry-SHH: Just to recap, next up is MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. Followed by RoboCop and then The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
There aren't any videos of the panel but we are blogging everything for you!
Comment From Guest
Is that Stay Puft thing gonna be a Ghostbusters III announcement?
Spencer Perry-SHH: No it's Andrew Garfield concealing his identity (poorly)
ComingSoon.net: Great, Silas has turned into a foodimal.
Silas Lesnick: And we're back! And apparently sitting right next to the world's most excited Mortal Instruments fan. She's doing a lot of screaming :)
Silas Lesnick: Here comes the cast and crew!
Spencer Perry-SHH: I'm doing plenty of screaming from my office too
Silas Lesnick: We've got star Lily Collins...
ComingSoon.net: Spencer, quit watching the Kardashians.
Silas Lesnick: who was a huge fan of the books before getting the role.
Silas Lesnick: Director Harald Zwart is talking about the difficulty of finding "shortcuts" so that as little as possible was removed from the original book.
Silas Lesnick: Original author Cassandra Clare says she was extremely involved in the production. She personally signed off on Collins in the lead.
Silas Lesnick: Jamie Campbell Bower is talked about how much of an attitude his character has. He describes him as being a "sassy bitch".
Silas Lesnick: But he also loves the character's vulnerability.
Comment From Gabe
is it packed?
Silas Lesnick: Yep! Some of the people right by me are only just getting in after getting in the Hall H line early this morning.
Silas Lesnick: Robert Sheehan is likening the world of the film to his role in The Misfits.
Spencer Perry-SHH: This is the Sony panel, currently talking Mortal Instruments with Robocop up next and finally The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Silas Lesnick: Kevin Zegers is talking about the challenge of playing a character and having already read the books.
Silas Lesnick: "You can get ahead of yourself," he says of the danger in reading on.
Silas Lesnick: "Fortunately, it looks like we're already going to get to make at least one more of these," he says.
Comment From Blank
I'd bet a majority of people there only showed up for Spider-Man haha
ComingSoon.net: Don't tell that to the girl sitting next to Silas.
Silas Lesnick: Godfrey Gao, who plays Magnus Bane, is saying that Clare cameos at his character's massive party.
Comment From prino
who is spiderman
ComingSoon.net: That is the question.
Silas Lesnick: Her character was wearing metallic cat ears and they got stuck on her head. She had to wear them to the airport and ran into some brief trouble with security.
Silas Lesnick: They're about to show a clip from the film...
Silas Lesnick: The scene has Collins learning about the secret world of Shadowhunters while her mom (played by Lena Headey) is attacked at home.
Silas Lesnick: Her mom calls her in the middle of the attack, telling her that, no matter what, she can't come home.
Silas Lesnick: Collins races through the street, trying to get home in time, but the house is in ruins. There's a rotweiller that chases her and begins to transform into a massive tentacled creature.
Silas Lesnick: Collins escapes to the kitchen and fashions a makeshift blow torch from things under the sink.
Silas Lesnick: There's an explosion and Collins is knocked unconscious for just a second, waking up to find the house in flames and the creature, now a pool of goo, beginning to reform.
Silas Lesnick: She's saved at the last moment by a Shadowhunter, played by Bower.
Silas Lesnick: He tells her that it was a demon and that she's not going to be able to trust anyone from here on out.
Silas Lesnick: "So how can I trust you?" she asks.
Silas Lesnick: "Well, I did just save your life," he says as the clip fades to black.
Silas Lesnick: They're opening up the floor to fan questions.
Comment From TepidShark
To the person who said that people at this panel were only interested in Spidey, I'm more interested in wanting to know what the Robocop reboot is all about.
Silas Lesnick: Clare says it's very important for her to remain involved in the fan community. She's very active with it online.
ComingSoon.net: Thanks for the retweet Spidey! https://twitter.com/spidermanmovie
Silas Lesnick: Collins is talking about how hard it was to do stunts in her Shadowhunter gear.
Silas Lesnick: Gao is talking about how embarrassing it was to have to act without pants.
Silas Lesnick: Clare is laughing that the underwear he wears in the scene is his actual underwear and not wardrobe.
Silas Lesnick: Looks like it's switching over to RoboCop in just a moment. Be right back for when it starts!
ComingSoon.net: Please welcome Blake, who will be blogging along with Silas.
Spencer Perry-SHH: For those just joining us: RoboCop is up next, followed by The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Spencer Perry-SHH: The panel is only scheduled to last another hour, so it shouldn't be too much longer
Spencer Perry-SHH: Boom
Comment From Anonymous
Does anyone know if they're gonna show some RoboCop footage?
Spencer Perry-SHH: I hope so, love me some RoboCop!
Blake Wright: I'm here! Ready for Robocop!
Spencer Perry-SHH: You have ten seconds to comply!
Blake Wright: Here we go!
ComingSoon.net: I'd buy that for a dollar.
Spencer Perry-SHH: Your move creep!
Blake Wright: Video... Sam Jackson doing a segment of the Novak Element (News show).
Blake Wright: American machines promoting peace and freedom abroad, but not in the US.
Blake Wright: Robots scanning civilians in Tehran.
Blake Wright: Sam: Why can't we use these at home. Why is the US robo-phobic!?
Blake Wright: Michael Keaton (Ray Sellers) before a Senate panel.
Blake Wright: What do these machines feel? Nothing.
Blake Wright: Robots go crazy in Tehran. Feed to the Novak show cut by the Pentagon.
Blake Wright: Director hits the stage... now Abby Cornish, Michael Keaton...
Silas Lesnick: I'm here, too, but I'll let Blake take the lead and just fill in details.
Blake Wright: Sam Jackson in the house!
Blake Wright: Now Joel Kinnaman... Robo himself!
Silas Lesnick: It looks like there's going to be some significant commentary on modern drone warfare. In the world of the film, US robot law enforcement is already in effect in every country but America.
Blake Wright: Robo is a beloved film... that's why director Padilha wanted to revise it.
Silas Lesnick: America is worried about the danger of non-human officers. Jackson's character describes America as being "robophobic" in the footage.
Blake Wright: The comment on drones is clear.
Blake Wright: Keaton says his character is a 'big thinker'. He understands the bigger picture.
Comment From RoboDemise
So no shots of RoboCop himself in the clip? only other "drones"
Blake Wright: Sam Jackson said Pat Novak is 'Rush Sharpton'... heh.
Silas Lesnick: Not yet, no, RoboDemise, But I bet we're gonna see a lot more in a moment.
Silas Lesnick: I'm going to let Blake take over descriptions and I'll go through and try to answer some incoming questions.
Comment From Lee
Any of the drones look like ED-209?
Blake Wright: Robo has an internal battle between his AI and his humanity... like int he original.
Blake Wright: Some one is getting busted for filming in the back...
Silas Lesnick: Lee, yes and no. We see both ED-209s as well as more humanoid designs.
Blake Wright: Abbie said her grounded role was nice.
Blake Wright: Here comes the Robo footage.
Comment From Talhah Teaa Lockhat
Similar to the stuff from the recent viral vid?
Silas Lesnick: Very much so, Talhah.
Blake Wright: Keaton thinking on a 'product with a conscience'.
Blake Wright: "We're going to put a man inside a machine."
Blake Wright: This is origin footage.
Blake Wright: He is injured in a car explosion.
Blake Wright: $2.6 billion project... RoboCop is born!
Blake Wright: The machine does everything. Alex is a 'passenger'. Just along for the ride.
Blake Wright: He looks a bit like he stepped out of the last Tron movie.
Comment From Jeff
Any dialogue from the robocop? I'm eager to hear his voice!
Blake Wright: Dead or alive... you're coming with me!
Silas Lesnick: They are really winning over this crowd! The footage looks great!
Silas Lesnick: We see a couple different RoboCop designs, including one that looks just like the original.
Blake Wright: Keaton says Sellers is a believer who's past money. He looks past right and wrong. He is always looking for the next move.
Comment From Robb Sharp
Does he have a family in this version
Silas Lesnick: Yes, he has a wife and a young boy.
Blake Wright: Yes. There is a family.
Comment From ED-Giddyup409
How's the suit look in the footage? Same as the black one from pics we've seen?
Blake Wright: Kinnaman is in the black suit, yes.
Silas Lesnick: The suit for much of it looks like in the set photos, but there are glimpses of other designs, including one that looks just like the Verhoeven version.
Blake Wright: Audience Q&A starting...
Silas Lesnick: The original design is actually pitched to Keaton's character and he doesn't like it. He says he wants it changed and likes black as a color.
Silas Lesnick: But there's a flash later in the footage of Kinnaman in parts of the original suit.
Comment From Joel
Any footage of Oldman?
Silas Lesnick: Just a bit, Joel. We see him in a lab working on the suit.
Blake Wright: Paditha talks about drones in wars, current events. Who do you judge if a robot kills a child? The software designer?
Silas Lesnick: and a bit of him through the computerized RoboCop-vision.
Comment From Karim
Does his voice sound cybernetically synced?
Silas Lesnick: Yep, Karim. The voice is actually very, very much like in the original.
Comment From Howie Felterbush
Will they explain the human hand?
Silas Lesnick: They're actually talking about it right now...
Blake Wright: It's to give him a human hand shake. Human contact. For that reason only.
Silas Lesnick: But they're also selling this RoboCop to the America of the film and need to remind the world that he's human.
Comment From Alan
When is the film going to be released?
Spencer Perry-SHH: February 7, 2014
Silas Lesnick: Robo-Drones already exist in this world but, in America, robots are not allowed to pull the trigger on guns.
Silas Lesnick: So his exposed hands reminds people that he's a cyborg.
Comment From Jo„o Paulo
Are the effects good?
Silas Lesnick: The effects look great! A really solid blend of CGI and practical effects.
Comment From gary
Sam Jackson is a news anchor??
Blake Wright: Keaton doesn't have a hero/villain preference when looking for a role.
Silas Lesnick: It looks like he's less an anchor and more a news pundit.
Blake Wright: Sam's character is a Wolf Blitzer type. Kinda.
Comment From Craig
does robo have a working partnership with a 'human'?
Silas Lesnick: It doesn't look like it, but his wife (played by Abbie Cornish) seems to play a major role in helping him reconnect with his humanity.
Spencer Perry-SHH: No Anne Lewis?! What?!
Blake Wright: That's it. Film hits next year!
Spencer Perry-SHH: Time for the main event people! THE SMURFS!
Spencer Perry-SHH: just kidding, Spider-Man!
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
Comment From Lee
I'm sure the cast should be 'swinging' in soon...
ComingSoon.net: Is that you, Austin Powers?
Silas Lesnick: It's getting dark in here...
Blake Wright: Here we go!
Spencer Perry-SHH: Be patient folks, it's coming
Blake Wright: Webs filling the screens!
Silas Lesnick: The curtains just opened to reveal two more hidden screens!
Blake Wright: The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Blake Wright: Marc Webb...
Silas Lesnick: *Dane Dehaan
Blake Wright: Showing footage of Spiderman outside the Con trying to get in.
Blake Wright: Getting hassled by security.
Blake Wright: Climbs the building... runs through some doors... and...
Blake Wright: Spidey! In full costume!
Blake Wright: He had to break up a Chewbacca fight, he says.
Silas Lesnick: Andrew Garfield in the full, new costume and in-character!
Blake Wright: Spidey comes to Comic-Con every year. He can blend in.
Blake Wright: Emma couldn't make it... here's a video.
Blake Wright: She's in France shooting a film... the video gets cut!
ComingSoon.net: Here's a pic of the logo/screen - https://twitter.com/PageToPremiere/status/358385363619811328/photo/1
Blake Wright: Whistling... it's Electro... singing Itzy Bitzy Spider!
Silas Lesnick: Her apology video has been hijacked by Electro!
Blake Wright: Jamie Foxx in the house!
Blake Wright: Spidey tells Jamie he loved Django.
Blake Wright: Foxx gives him a 'I love the way you die, boy."
Blake Wright: Spidey keeps staring at Jamie.
Silas Lesnick: "Wait," says Foxx, laughing, "Is this the real Spider-Man?"
Comment From Laura
pic.twitter.com/LAtviuAJq9 spidey at the panel
Blake Wright: Pulling a Chris Farley... "Remember that time..."
Blake Wright: Spidey says he doesn't like assholes, which is why he does what he does.
ComingSoon.net: Another pic - https://twitter.com/mandysmind/status/358386501790351361/photo/1
Blake Wright: And he wishes for a day off.
Blake Wright: It's Garfield, but the mask is still on.
Blake Wright: Spidey making Eduardo Saverin jokes.
Silas Lesnick: "Who is Andrew," Spider-Man just asked when Marc Webb said the name.
Silas Lesnick: "He's the actor that plays you in the movie," says Webb.
Blake Wright: Spidey is leaving. He has to go to the bathroom.
Silas Lesnick: "I thought Eduardo Saverin played me?" Spidey deadpans.
Blake Wright: Foxx says it's fun playing the villain. You don't have to color inside the lines.
Spencer Perry-SHH: A "Social Network" joke for those paying attention
Silas Lesnick: "I wanted Electro to be a serious villain who wants to burn the city down and burn Spider-Man along with it," says Foxx.
Blake Wright: Max (Electro) is in a hole. Even his Mom forgets his birthday. Foxx wanted Electro to be a serious individual who wanted to burn the city down.
Blake Wright: At the beginning of the new movie, Spider-man is having fun being Spider-man, according to Webb.
Blake Wright: Here comes some footage...
Blake Wright: You know what I like about being Spider-man? Everything!
Blake Wright: Gwen loves Spider-man, but loves Peter Parker more.
Blake Wright: Ooooh. Electro origin! Eels!
Blake Wright: Giamatti yes... no Rhino yet.
Blake Wright: Electro got some serious 'dark side' lightning going!
Silas Lesnick: Wow! That was an awesome trailer. Not quite finished yet with a couple of animatic sequences.
Blake Wright: Garfield appears! Apologizes for being late.
ComingSoon.net: Garfield, always late. Sheesh.
Silas Lesnick: There's a great bit where Aunt May is asking Peter about staining a load of laundry with red and blue.
Silas Lesnick: "I was washing the flag!" says Peter.
Blake Wright: Talking about the Gwen/Spidey relationship. "They feel destined for each other."
Silas Lesnick: Lots of pre-Rhino Rhino. It looks like he's trying to steal Oscorp's formula
Blake Wright: Here comes the audience Q&A...
Silas Lesnick: Max Dillon gets saved by Spider-Man and is stunned when Spidey knows his name.
ComingSoon.net: The tardy Garfield -- https://twitter.com/PageToPremiere/status/358390373632053252/photo/1
Silas Lesnick: "I'm a nobody," Max says.
Silas Lesnick: Spidey explains that he read his namebage but that no one is a nobody.
Silas Lesnick: It looks like Max gets electrocuted at Oscorp and, as he's being shocked, he falls with the live wire into a tank of electric eels.
Comment From Rob Mac
What's the formula?
Silas Lesnick: It looks like the OZ formula from the Ultimate comics
Silas Lesnick: We see Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, too, but only in bed, apparently still dying and speaking with his Son.
Blake Wright: Garfield says that Spidey stands for everyone, when asked about social issues.
ComingSoon.net: Spidey and Jamie Foxx -- http://instagram.com/p/b9_LHKMPXf/
Blake Wright: There is no skin color on Spider-man. He is a hero that stands for those that need protecting.
ComingSoon.net: Better look at Garfield -- http://instagram.com/p/b9_L_0g0FM/
Blake Wright: How does Garfield connect to the Parker/Spidey? Spider-man is the older brother and Peter the younger brother.
Silas Lesnick: Garfield does admit that he feels he needs to stay true to the character they've established and "it would be weird if he was suddenly with a black man in the third one." Foxx, smiled and shrugged a "maybe, though," causing the audience to erupt in applause.
Comment From Stephano
Are you seeing videos or are they telling u?
Silas Lesnick: They're talking now, but I was backtracking to what was shown in the footage.
Blake Wright: Foxx is humming the Superman theme to a kid dressed as Superman getting ready to ask a question.
Comment From Zach
So no Rhino in the trailer?
Silas Lesnick: Rhino, no, but Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich is quite prominent. He's bald with lots of tattoos, including a crown of barbed wire around his head.
Comment From Anonymous
What was Norman saying to Harry in the footage?
Silas Lesnick: He's speaking about dying and how he thinks the end might be near for him.
Blake Wright: Dane says Harry and Peter are childhood friends buy Harry gets sent off to boarding school at a young age. Once they graduate from high school he had to reconcile with Peter.
Comment From Zach
But theres a lot of good Electro footage, right?
Blake Wright: Yes. Electro for days!
Spencer Perry-SHH: There's watts to be excited about!
Blake Wright: Foxx laughing about Max's comb-over in the movie.
Blake Wright: Max falls into a bit of hero worship with Spider-man.
Blake Wright: Webb said he grabbed from a lot of different comics for the Spidey story. He loved the Ultimates art.
Blake Wright: Question is ... are you putting too much into Spidey 2? Webb says it's just the right amount. Electro is main villain.
Blake Wright: "Electro is god-like" according to Webb.
Blake Wright: "How do you fight Electro?"
Blake Wright: Electro can disappear into power sockets. Confirmed!
Comment From FeelTheSerg
