The Details:
The following is the official description of the film:

"One of the most shocking films of all time, Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho' is now available on Blu-ray featuring perfect picture, a newly created 5.1 audio track and bonus features that take you beyond the movie! Join the Master of Suspense on a chilling journey as an unsuspecting victim (Janet Leigh) visits the Bates Motel and falls prey to one of cinema's most notorious psychopaths - Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins). Named #1 on the AFI's 100 Years...100 Thrills list, this notorious film has become a cultural phenomenon. Featuring one of the most iconic scenes in film history - the famous "shower scene," 'Psycho' is "still terrifying after all these years" (Leonard Maltinís Classic Movie Guide)."

"Psycho (50th Anniversary Edition)" is rated R.

Mini-Review:
"Psycho" is, without a doubt, a horror classic. My mother and others from her generation saw it and said it made them terrified to take a shower. Any film that can terrify people even after they leave theaters is, by my definition, a classic.

This 50th Anniversary edition marks the first time the movie has been released on Blu-ray. But despite the landmark anniversary label, there's nothing new on this edition. It is identical in content to the "Psycho: Universal Legacy Series" DVD which was released in 2008. You do get a new 5.1 digital audio and HD picture, but there are no new bonus features. So if you already own the Legacy Series, you'll have to decide if you want to buy it again for the HD presentation. However, if you don't already own that DVD, then there's a lot of cool stuff here for you. You get a 'making of' documentary, featurettes on the sound and the shower scene, newsreel footage, a Hitchcock/Truffaut interview, and other goodies. Everything you could want to know about "Psycho" is offered here.
